I know it’s obvious, but it’s really amazing how the music changed since
this show went on the air in the early 1970’s. Anyhow, this is still a good
show.

at 10:30am-12pm and Soul Train from noon to 1pm and I’ll tell ya what…my

SoJerz609 says:

I would like to see all of the complete episodes, not just the performers.
Seems like the DVD collection focuses more on the performances. I liked the
80’s and 90’s too, that’s when they really started focusing on the regulars
(dancers) — I’d love to watch all those shows again.

where’s the 80’s?

Patrick Jackson says:

One thing I always wanted to see was a Japanese version of this show,
basically the same program in a different language – “The hippest trip in
Japan…the SMILE Train!” Yeah, that’s who comes to mind as the host:
Apollo Smile. I though of this because Alyssa Milano & Bridgette Wilson
have quite a reputation in Japan as pop singers; yet both are vastly
under-appreciated for that in the USA.

coktoe says:

It’s coming to DVD without any of the dancing clips. Just the performances.

ddmoney277 says:

Don Cornelius — who famously created “Soul Train” was found dead in his
Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning … and law enforcement sources tell us
it appears he committed suicide. We’re told cops discovered the body at
around 4 AM PT. Law enforcement sources tell us … Cornelius died from a
gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was
self-inflicted.

comecorrect1 says:

They need to release soul train in the 80s,90s up to early 00’s, all
episodes. Not really feeling the mid 00’s. I like the styles back then and
the dancers along with the performances. I remember watching Soul Train in
the 90s it was dope. If only we could go back to that time it would be so
awesome.

Manny De Los Santos says:

Soul Train of the 80’s and 90’s look wack compared to the spirit of the
70’s.

coktoe says:

That’s awesome!
