Back in the seventies when Soul Train came on millions of white kids sat
transfixed before their television screens. They were getting soul. I was
one of them.
The Dude @ :43 always does that same move, he never dances, he just style
and profile,lol,he’s the Rick Flair of Soul Train and the lady locking @
1:43 was the show choreographer.
All I can say is that this white boy and his brother used to FIGHT over
whether we were going to watch SOUL TRAIN or AMERICAN BANDSTAND back in the
day. And we were really little…like around 10 years old. I remember SOUL
TRAIN won out more often than not, and my grandmother (God bless her) would
say, about SOUL TRAIN: “normal people don’t dance like that.” Gram, I’m
glad I grew up not norman. RIP Don Cornelius. You did so much for blacks,
whites, music, and the world. I’m sorry you felt so badly you took your own
life. I’ll NEVER forget you. Love. Peace. and Soul.
