UPDATE 1/5/2012 4:55pm NBC which does hold rights to “The Wiz” has “ok” that portion of this video. UPDATE The interview with Don/Michael is own by MAD VISION, they also ‘OK” for the interview to proceed with out muting it or pulling it from my site.

This was when “THE WIZ” came out and he was interviewed and a short clip of the movie was shown on soul train.

The funny part is that at the end Don asked MJ if he would return to the
show, this happened to be MJ’s last appearance on Soul Train and all shows
like this, he would only do event shows and even then made it very rare.

I’ve seen bits and pieces of The Wiz on VH1 when I was younger because
really did like Michael Jackson. It was his first movie role. I was up in
the air on how good it was. Years later, I saw it again on VH1 because of
Michael’s passing and honestly, the movie really wasn’t that good. I just
didn’t care for it.
