Reminds me of back in the days when all me and my crew did was Pop, Lock,
Break Dance in competitions, Bomb Walls (Graffiti) and Rap. Hip Hop is a
culture and im proud to be apart of it. We danced anywhere, card board or
not, always had a boom box everywhere we went, Nothin like Oldskool. Keep
your head up all you Hip Hoppers, B-Boys and B-Girls.

Hey Pete! I was wrong about you guys being in your40s when this Soul Train
special aired. It was flashbacks…but my sentiment is still the same.
Thank you for inspiring all of us. I wish your inspiration would have
inspired more brothers and sisters who were lost to the streets. I may not
dance anymore, but I didn’t get caught up in street life because of guys
like you, Fabel, Wigz (went to high school with them) and all the other
pioneers of a worldwide phenomenon. I’m doing well…and what you guys did
has more meaning to mr than you’ll ever know–thank you brother.

These guys were in their 40s when they got down like this. Just goes to
show that dancing keeps you young. Kudoa to them. RIP Fred Berry (aka :Mr
Pengiun)…one of the best lock dancers of all time! Big up to the Solomon
Brothers from the Electric Boogaloos.

You inspired an og dancer like myself and all of the poppers
worldwide…and still putting it down to this day. I speak for all the og
poppers and botters, new schoolers and everyone couldn’t dance but watched
anyway and smiled….we love you guys. Thanks for leaving us a legacy that
lives on and always will.

This dance was the reason why I loved life at such a young age, especially
those brothers from my home city Long Beach CA, Dane the Robot was a good
friend of my sisters and I was honored to get a chance to meat him in
person.

This is so fun to watch. I remember watching the Jacksons on their variety
show, locking and popping and paying homage with their outfits down to the
knickers and hats. Where did the idea for these costumes come from??
